Who is Dehan Ögetbil?
Olgun Dehan Ögetbil is a Turkish football scouting professional and the current Chief Scout of Beerschot in Belgium. Over the past decade, he has built a strong reputation in player recruitment through senior scouting roles at clubs including Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Göztepe, before taking on the responsibility of leading Beerschot’s scouting department.
Known for his expertise in identifying talent across different markets, Dehan focuses on evaluating not only a player’s quality but also their suitability within a club’s football philosophy and long-term recruitment strategy.
His experience and insights into modern scouting have also led him to become one of the contributors to The Book of Scouting – Volume One, where he shares his perspective on the evolving role of scouting in professional football.
Who is K. Beerschot V.A.?
K. Beerschot V.A. (Koninklijke Beerschot Voetbalclub Antwerpen) is one of Belgium’s most historic football clubs, based in Antwerp. Originally founded in 1899, the club is renowned for its rich tradition, passionate fanbase and iconic purple-and-white colours. Throughout its history, Beerschot has won seven Belgian league championships and three Belgian Cups, while its home, the historic Olympic Stadium, hosted the football tournament at the 1920 Olympic Games. Over the years, the club has been represented by notable players such as Jan Ceulemans, Juan Lozano, Marc Degryse, Daniel Cruz and Ryan Sanusi, all of whom have contributed to Beerschot’s football heritage.
