Who is Al-Riyadh Saudi Club?
Al-Riyadh Saudi Club is a historic professional football club based in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Founded in 1953, the club competes in the Saudi Pro League and plays an important role in the country’s rapidly developing football landscape. Its traditional colours are red and black.
The club enjoyed one of its strongest periods during the 1990s, winning the Saudi Crown Prince Cup in 1994 and the Saudi Federation Cup in 1995. Al-Riyadh also finished second in the Saudi Premier League during the 1993–94 season and has won the Saudi First Division twice.
Its recent squad has included experienced international players such as Canadian goalkeeper Milan Borjan, French defender Yoann Barbet and Spanish defender Sergio González, alongside Saudi players including Mohammed Al-Khaibari and Sulaiman Hazazi.
