FOCUS Sports Business School and Comparisonator have established a new Academic Partnership, bringing together football leadership and executive education with data, recruitment intelligence and artificial intelligence.

Modern football has access to more information than ever before. The challenge is turning that information into better decisions while keeping experience, context and professional judgement at the centre.

This is where FOCUS and Comparisonator come together.

FOCUS Sports Business School

FOCUS develops football and sports leaders through executive education built around the real challenges of working inside professional organisations.

Its programmes, including the MBA in Football Strategy & Leadership and the Executive Diploma in Sporting Directorship, cover areas such as leadership, sporting strategy, recruitment, squad building, transfer operations and finance, combining academic structure with practical industry experience.

Comparisonator

Comparisonator is an AI-powered football intelligence platform helping clubs and football professionals turn complex player and team data into clear, practical insights.

Through tools covering player recruitment, comparison, Virtual Transfer, squad analysis, physical data and CompAI, Comparisonator helps decision-makers identify and evaluate players and reach relevant football intelligence quickly.

The principle is simple: technology should support football professionals, not replace their experience and judgement.

Bringing the Two Together

Through the Academic Partnership, FOCUS will bring its expertise in leadership, strategy and management, while Comparisonator will contribute its experience in football data, recruitment intelligence and AI.

Comparisonator CEO Tarkan Batgun will contribute to FOCUS programmes through educational sessions and practical case studies, including work around AI, Pattern Intelligence and Future Systems in football. FOCUS participants will also have opportunities to experience Comparisonator directly through practical exercises and platform access.

The collaboration will also extend to joint analysis through the FOCUS Intelligence Hub, exploring how football data connects with recruitment strategy, squad construction, investment and decision-making. Women’s football will form a dedicated part of this work.

From Data to Decisions

Football is changing quickly. AI and data are becoming more powerful, but human experience and judgement remain essential.

The FOCUS x Comparisonator Academic Partnership brings these two sides together, connecting how football leaders think about decisions with the technology and evidence available to support them.
