Who is Jem Karacan?
Bringing his real-world dressing room experience to the business side of the game, former professional midfielder Jem Karacan serves as the Director of Football at Footwork Management. Born in London and representing Turkey internationally, Karacan enjoyed a standout 16-year playing career most notably defined by captaining Reading FC into the English Premier League and playing in the UEFA Champions League with Turkish giants Galatasaray. After hanging up his boots in early 2023, he seamlessly transitioned from the pitch to player representation. Today, Karacan leverages his extensive first-hand knowledge of elite-level football, club politics, and player psychology to mentor Footwork’s roster, giving the agency a distinct competitive edge in guiding the next generation of talent through the realities of modern professional careers.
