Transfer Strategy
We witnessed a very interesting change in the transfer strategy of Cim Bom Bom. Terim certainly focused more on young players, and perhaps the talents were selected specifically so the club would make money from their second sales.
Transfer Summary
Club had 1 free transfer, 4 players are loaned with an option to buy, 4 players returned from loan (mainly youth), 1 senior player & 7 youth players are loaned out in winter season. Financially 2.81 Million Euro spent, 2.07 Million Euro gained, 740 Thousand Euro deficit

The star candidate is Mostafa Mohamed from Zamalek (23)
In my opinion, he is not only the best transfer Galatasaray, but the best of the Winter Transfer in Turkey. 2.5 games, 3 goals (one from cup game). The club paid 1.66 Million for him, a loan with an option to buy. Egypt is a tough league and it is not easy for players to come to this side of Europe like the good old days. His first 3 games indicate a strong aerial ability. Smells goals like a rose and pulls them easily. The defensive side is also tough. I believe he will make his remark in Turkey. He will be certainly on watch lists of the boys from England, thinking of his aerial ability.
Mostafa Mohamed – Fenerbahce vs Galatasaray Game Stats compared to CF’s in Turkey
Mostafa’s’ almost all attacking parameters are much more than the CF averages in the Turkish Super League. As a bonus, his defensive contribution comes as a huge advantage so far. He is not into playmaking, nor he d like to carry the ball to the opposition 3rd.
Virtual Transfer Results – From Egypt to Turkey
Here are some characteristics of his stats, moved to Turkish Super League with @comparisontor ’s Virtual Transfer. The best side of him comes with headers & shots. He ranks 2nd in “Head Shots” along with CFs’ in Turkey (1.1 per 90 Min-Total 29), ranks 8th in “Shots” (2.73 per 90 Min-Total 72).
Henry Onyekuru (23)
Been loaned again, this time around from Monaco. Although he did not take much of a game-time in France, scored 3 goals in 3 matches that he played 2nd half of the season. Fast & furious. He will deliver as he did in the previous seasons when he was loaned. His Turkish league experience is a certain bonus. The tables below represent Henry’s spell in the Turkish Super League in 2019/20 season averages vs 20/21 averages against himself.
Halil Dervişoğlu (22)
Nothing can be talked about with regards to his stats as they are next to none. However so little game time, nice impression. Reminds me of the typical number 9. Solid & strong, relatively fast & good in the air. But the arrival of Mostafa and Falcao returning from injury, his game time could be limited. However, Falcao gets injuries a lot, which might provide him a better show time. I am curious
DeAndre Yedlin (26)
His performance dropped compared to the previous year. But still, a great experience coming from the Premier League. Gala’s right-backs get injuries for some unknown reason. Right backs Elabdellaoui (out from personal injury), Şener Özbayraklı (constant injuries), Martin Linnes (often injured) sidelined which will provide constant game time.
Gedson Fernandes (22)
So much talk has been done in the past. But the game times & production has been very poor. Terim transferred him as he is young & still promising. There is no estimation of his success.
Promising Outgoing Youth Players
Emin Bayram (19)
Although he played little, during his performance last season in a total of 165 minutes suggested that he could be a rising talent. He is loaned to Boluspor in winter, a medium-sized club that was previously a super league outfit. Sports Director of Boluspor, Barbaros Gözneli, is a young and promising star himself management wise. Under his belt Boluspor has already changed & improved. I believe Emin will work well with the new age management style from Gözneli
